In 2004, Universalia Management Group and Montalván & Associates created a joint venture, Universalia-Montalván & Associates, LLC (UMA), incorporated and headquartered in Washington, DC, USA. UMA works with a wide variety of highly skilled consultants from many countries specializing in the techniques and tools associated with project planning and implementation (log frame analysis, cost benefit analysis, risk management, institutional analysis, and others) as well as monitoring and evaluation services. UMA’s primary focus is Latin America and the Caribbean, and to date, we have completed projects for the Government of Chile, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the Organization of American States.
George Plinio Montalván, UMA’s General Manager, is an economist with more than 30 years of professional experience in Latin America, the Caribbean, the Brookings Institution, the Organization of American States, and the Inter-American Development Bank.
