Dr. Robert Nixon has worked with Universalia for more than 25 years as partner, senior project manager, and most recently as a senior associate. He has led complex strategic planning, strategy implementation, evaluation, training and capacity building projects in Canada and more than 30 other countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and the Middle East. He has specialized in planning long-term reform and evaluation of education, training and employment strategies and systems. Dr. Nixon works with a wide range of organizations including multilateral and country-level aid agencies, national governments, educational institutions, large NGOs, and multi-national resource companies. He has wide and varied experience working with indigenous peoples, organizations and governments throughout Canada, including in Canada’s north. He has designed and delivered intercultural training in community and organizational settings, and has consulted in many multicultural contexts.

Dr. Nixon has taught at Trent University in the Comparative Development and Native Studies program, at McGill University in the MBA program, at Queen’s University Faculty of Mining, and at the University of Toronto Graduate Faculty of Education (OISE). He is fluent in English and French.
