Adrian Profitos has ten years of experience working in the field of international development as a researcher, social worker, analyst, fundraiser, consultant, project coordinator, and business development coordinator and manager. Mr. Profitos has academic training and professional experience in results-based management and monitoring and evaluation applied to international development and humanitarian programs. Since joining Universalia in 2014, he has participated in over a dozen evaluations for UNICEF, DFID, CDB, Rockefeller Foundation, IUCN, and the Rights and Resources Initiative. As Universalia’s Business Development Manager, Mr. Profitos ensures effective coverage, screening, follow-up and decision-making on calls for proposals from our main clients, which include UN agencies, development banks, governments, research institutions, NGOs and foundations. He contributes to positioning Universalia by conducting market analysis and planning upcoming opportunities. Finally, he manages the bidding process to ensure the quality and improve the success rate of Universalia’s proposals. He has prepared dozens of complex proposals, including the design of methodologies, budget and team composition.

Mr. Profitos has field experience in Nepal (advocacy and capacity building for youth), Malaysia (rural development and land tenure regimes), and Cameroon (functional literacy among nomadic communities). He is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
