Håvard Bergo is an evaluation specialist and project manager who has worked on issues such as education, governance, democratization, advocacy, and drug and crime prevention. He has experience working on international development projects in Thailand, Uganda and Canada, and has conducted evaluation missions to Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire. Mr. Bergo has worked for a variety of multilateral organizations, bilateral development agencies and private companies, such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Siemens AG, GIZ, the Global Fund, the Organization of American States, the Global Partnership for Education, Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Global Environment Facility, and GAVI. He has also worked for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Thailand.
Over the last five years, Mr. Bergo has published more than 30 articles on a variety of issues related to governance and development, and has covered sub-Saharan conflicts (Somalia, South Sudan) and development issues for several English and Norwegian magazines, including Africa Confidential. Mr. Bergo is fluent in English, French and Norwegian.
