Universalia was contracted by the Department of Justice Canada to lead the summative evaluation of the Accountability and Coordination Framework of the Roadmap for Canada’s Linguistic Duality 2008-2013 - Justice Canada Component. The Framework aims to strengthen horizontal coordination of the Official Languages Program (OLP) to ensure the success of the Roadmap. The Framework is of particular importance since it concerns all the initiatives under the Roadmap. The evaluation examined the role, functions and results of the Department’s Official Languages Law Section, which is an expert group in this area servicing the whole of the federal government. The methodology included a document review and key informants interviews.
