The Canadian Evaluation Society Education Fund (CESEF) Board of Directors has awarded the 2023-2024 Charles Lusthaus Universalia Scholarship to Ms. Katy Pollock, a Certified Evaluator (CE) who lives and works in Chief Drygeese Territory in Somba K'e (Yellowknife, Northwest Territories). She is a doctoral student at Queen's University's School of Rehabilitation Therapy and an applied research and evaluation professional with the Government of the Northwest Territories. Katy's doctoral studies focus on methods for evaluating early learning and child care programs, including ways to incorporate the perspectives and opinions of young children.
The 2024-2025 Charles Lusthaus Universalia Fellowship has been awarded to Ms. Amoy Jacques, who has over 15 years of experience in program planning, development, and evaluation in the health and higher education sectors. She began her career in clinical rehabilitation and later transitioned to public health research and other leadership roles. Her evaluation work covers the fields of research, non-profit organizations, government organizations, consulting for health agencies, as well as her active participation on the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee of the Canadian Evaluation Society (CES).
This initiative continues to celebrate Charles' legacy in the field of evaluation, and Universalia is proud to have continued to support this scholarship over the past two years.
