Evaluation of the Cultivate Africa’s Future Fund (CultiAf)

Universalia was commissioned by the International Development Research Center (IDRC) to conduct the Evaluation of the Cultivate Africa’s Future Fund (CultiAf). The Evaluation will assess the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of the Fund, as well as the extent to which the Fund’s cross-cutting issues on 1) gender equality and 2) environmental sustainability have been mainstreamed across the program. The fund, which was established in 2013 to finance research projects that propose innovative solutions to food and nutritional security issues in Sub-Saharan Africa, currently finances 8 projects across two research areas (post-harvest management systems and linking agriculture to nutrition) in five countries: Kenya, Malawi, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

The Universalia team will include Ms. Diana McLean as Team Leader, Ms. Esther Rouleau as Evaluation Consultant and Mr. Ebbie Dengu as Development Consultant.
