Is a picture worth a thousand words... of evaluation reports? Experience of using Photovoice for Data Collection in Evaluation

During today’s Lunch & Learn, Dr. Archi Rastogi shared with Universalia staff his recent experience of using Photovoice as a data collection method for an evaluation. Photovoice allows an evaluation to learn about the perspective of an otherwise-marginalized respondent. The respondent is asked to take a relevant picture, and the story around the picture informs the evaluation of what changes have taken place, what worked, and what didn’t. Photovoice is one among the innovative methodologies that Universalia uses for evaluations.
