Universalia and R4D are pleased to partner for the evaluation of the GPE program

Universalia and the Results for Development Institute (R4D) (r4d.org) in Washington are pleased to announce their partnership to evaluate the GPE program. The Global Partnership for Education was founded in 2002 under the name Education for All Fast Track Initiative and has gone through a number of organizational changes since 2010. It now includes some 60 developing countries, more than 30 international, regional and bilateral organizations as well as civil society and private sector organizations, with the aim of coordinating the global effort to offer a quality education to all children. It achieves it mainly through grants to develop/strengthen and implement national education plans.

The evaluation's main focus is to analyse whether organizational changes, which have taken place within the GPE since 2010, have improved the partnership's relevance, effectiveness and efficiency at the global and national levels. The evaluation process will continue until September 2015 and will include 50 country reviews.
