Universalia completed the Thematic Evaluation on the Contribution of UN Women to Prevent Violence Against Women and Girls and Expand Access to Services in 2013

VAW is one of the most widespread violations of human rights and includes physical, sexual, psychological, and economic abuse. It also cuts across boundaries of age, race, culture, wealth, and geography. The scope of this evaluation covered all dimensions of UN Women’s work in addressing violence against women from 2008 to 2013. It included UN Women’s normative, operational, and coordination mandates. The study analyzed the key results and relevance of work between 2008 and 2013, sustainability and efficiency/organizational performance, and identified key issues for UN Women’s strategic positioning in this area.

The results of the study have just been published on UN Women’s website: http://www.unwomen.org/en/about-us/~/media/9450DD6E14244DA082D642AAF734448E.ashx.
