Dr. Mary Picard is a Senior Consultant who has worked independently for the last 20 of her 30 years in international development. Her professional experience began in agriculture/natural resource management and expanded to a focus on gender equality and social inclusion across a wide range of sectors. Her engagement in facilitating pathways to sustainable development with international development organizations is grounded in a broad spectrum of monitoring and evaluation expertise.

She has supported NGOs, UN organizations, donors, and foundations as a trainer, researcher, evaluator, and strategic thinker to achieve broader impact and catalyze social change. She has provided services to build M&E units, global M&E systems and staff capacity in M&E and gender mainstreaming with a diversity of organizations. As an evaluator, she has worked as team leader, team member and individual consultant and contributed to over 20 evaluations, at global, regional, and country levels. Her assignments have spanned the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and East Europe. She is fluent in English and French and has both U.S. and Canadian citizenship.
