CIVICUS is an international alliance of members and partners that works to strengthen citizen action and civil society throughout the world. It acts as an advocate for citizen participation as an essential component of governance and democracy worldwide. In this context, Universalia was asked to perform an organizational assessment in order to determine CIVICUS’s relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and financial viability in carrying out its mandate, identify any possible risks associated with investing in the organization and recommend ways to improve the organization’s performance. Field missions were realized in South Africa, Uruguay and Chile.
