Universalia conducted the mid-term evaluation for this $5 million CAD program that provides technical capacity building support for and conducts operational/clinical research relevant to prevention of mother-to-child transmission. The evaluation reviewed the overall effectiveness of the program in building capacity of selected rural mission hospitals for service delivery in PMTCT, and also examined the degree to which the program was able to address gender inequality issues that affected women’s access to and follow up of services at the hospital and community level.
